After missing the 2010 Bike Week due to incredibly cold weather I was looking forward to 2011 and this time the weather made amends by being just about perfect. As I roamed around Main Street in Daytona beach it was very apparent that the current economy had taken it's toll on the crowd as it wasn't nearly as packed as it's been in previous years but I kind of liked it that way. This time there was room to move and I had a clear view.

There is always something to photograph on Main Street so I spend most of my time there but I also caught the Boardwalk Bike Show on the beach and headed over to the Speedway to see the Miss Hooters Bikini Contest held outside of turn four in what was called Thunder Alley. It's another bike show swap meet that goes on while the bikes race inside. Once I had that covered it was back to Main Street and with a quick shot from the stunning RockStar Energy Drink promotions girl I was ready for just about anything and I think I found it.
