Rusty came to me as an eight month old puppy when a good friend realized he didn't have the time to care for him. He traveled a lot and quickly found out that dogs need lots of love and attention so he decided to find Rusty a new home where he could have the attention he craved. I had a Golden Retriever before and working at home was a plus so he gave me a call and asked if I would like a dog.

The time was right for me to have another dog and I was in the perfect position to care for him and he would be sure to live the kind of life Goldens dream about. I want to thank Austin for thinking of me when looking for a new home for his puppy. He couldn't have made a better match and the pictures and video should reveal just how happy Rusty is and how happy he makes me. I hope one day Austin will be in a better position for having a dog and will try again so he can experience all the love and happiness he's given me with Rusty.

Golden Retrievers are such an awesome breed and Rusty lives up to the hype. Even though we don't hunt he's more of a hunting dog than a show dog and loves to chase tennis balls in the lake. Super friendly, he's always fun at the dog parks and runs around greeting everyone as he tries to instigate a game of fetch. Sometimes he gets picked on by the bully dogs but can handle himself if he has to. All he really wants to do is socialize and play all day.

At home his favorite thing to do is lay at the top of the stairs and drop a tennis ball down them so i have to get up and throw it back up to him. As soon as i sit back down he'll drop the ball again and I throw it back as he gets me to fetch the ball for him
